Post-Gupta Bengal, Samatata region, Balabhata of Khadga dynasty (700-750 AD), debased gold dinar, 5.67g. Obv: Stylised representation of 'archer' king holding bow and arrow in each hand, 'Nandi' standard in the backdrop; Brahmi letter Shri to the left of the head, and legend Bala/Bhata in two lines below the bow. Rev: Stylised representation of goddess, facing right making a gesture of reassurance, with curved lines (drapery?) behind her back; traces of crude inscription to right. ECB SAM17.2. Estimate
