AUC41
Lot No : 559
Mewar - silver rupee in the name of Shah Alam II, pseudo-mintname Shahjahanabad and fictitious RY Ahd, Udaipur mint, but with an inverted trident symbol in the first line on obverse, in addition to the usual 'sprig' mark. This is a feature not noted by scholar collectors of Rajputana coins such as Webb and Herrli. Perhaps the coin was struck at Bhilwara mint.
