Gupta Empire - base gold dinar of Vishnu Gupta (c.470-500 AD), 'Archer' type, Altekar p. 280, Kumar p. 389, 9.54g. Obv: nimbate king standing, holding a strung bow in one hand and an arrow in the other; a 'Garuda' standard to his left, Brahmi legend Vishnu below the arm holding the bow and traces of letters along the margin, Brahmi letter 'Va' between the feet. Rev: Lakshmi seated cross-legged on a lotus, holding lotus in one hand and a noose in the other; a symbol in the left field and traces of Brahmi legend Sri Chandraditya to right. Estimate
