Archaic silver punch-marked coin of the Middle Tapi river valley, western borders of the ancient Vidarbha region (400 -350 BC), 1.58g. Obv: Four punches in ABBC configuration: 1x elephant facing left, small symbols above; 1x ornate Nandipada in crescent with dots and annulets & 2x six-pointed star with annulets between prongs. Rev: Traces of an older, similar type: 1x elephant to left; 1x tortoise & 2x circle with four crescents and four dots on outer margin. Estimate
