Samatata region, Gold Dinar of Bhaskaravarman, king of Kamarupa (Assam) (c. 640-655 AD), 'Sri Kumara' type, ECB SAM12.2, 5.66g. Obv: Stylised representation of a nimbate 'archer' type king, holding bow in one hand and arrow in the other, with a crudely executed 'Shankha' standard in the backdrop; a 'Chakra' symbol to the left of the king's head and Brahmi legend Sri Ku / mara in two lines below the hand holding the bow. Rev: Stylised female figure standing holding a ball-like object in her hand, and curvilinear drapes behind her back; legend in the right field. Estimate
