Gauda region, Gold Dinar of Shashanka, king of Gauda (c. 600-635 AD) in western style, ECB SGA10.1, 8.89g. Obv: Nimbate Shiva, seated in Rajaleela-asana on Nandi the bull, with hand raised; Brahmi legend Shri Sha to right and traces of legend Vijaya below the bull. Rev: Nimbate Abhisheka-Lakshmi, seated cross-legged facing on lotus, holding lotus in one hand, and making a gesture of benevolence with the other, while two elephants standing on lotuses lustrate her; traces of Brahmi legend Shri Shashanka to right.
