Uninscribed die-struck copper coin (2), Malayaman chiefs of 'Sangam' period, Tirucoilur region (c. 50-100 AD), (a) MCSI 205, 3.44g. Obv: Horse standing facing right; a chakra above its back and 'crescent over railing' symbol below its head. Rev: River with fishes and a triangular 'mountain'-like symbol, supposedly representing a 'map'. (b) Similar to MCSI 205-213, 2.26g. Obv: Horse standing facing right; a 'circle over pedestal' symbol below its head. Rev: River with fishes and a triangular 'mountain'-like symbol, supposedly representing a 'map'. Mitchiner does not list a coin with such a symbol in front of the horse.(2 Coins) Estimate
