Gupta Empire, Samudra Gupta (350-375 AD), Gold Dinar, 'Battle Axe' type, Altekar Class I, var. A, 7.50g. Obv: Nimbate king, wearing a skull-cap and tunic, standing holding a standard with axe attached to it, resting the other hand on his hip. An attendant stands facing him holding aloft a crescent standard. Brahmi legend Samudra under the king's arm holding the axe, traces of Brahmi legend around. Rev: Nimbate goddess, seated on throne holding cornucopia and noose; Brahmi legend Krtantaparashu to right and a Tamgha in the left field. Estimate
