Gupta Empire, Samudra Gupta (350-375 AD), Gold Dinar, 'King and Queen' type, Altekar p. 35, 7.83g. Obv: Nimbate king, wearing a tunic and holding standard, standing facing a nimbate queen, offering her an object; Brahmi legend Shri Kumaradevi to left and Chandra Gupta flanking the standard which the king holds. Rev: Nimbate goddess, seated frontally on a lion reclining with head to right. She holds a cornucopia in one hand and a noose in the other with tamgha in the left field. Estimate
