Lot No : 311
Sikh Empire, A Gobindshahi Silver Rupee of the Sikhs of Amritsar Mint of the year VS 1854. This rupee with a horizontal dagger on the reverse belongs to the series parallel to the series of Nanakshahi Silver rupees that were being minted from Amritsar. These rupees are rare compared to the rupees of Nanakshahi series. This particular rupee could be of special interest because of the partial digits, that signify the AH year, visible above Singh on the obverse.
