Satavahanas, A group of 5 Silver Portrait type Drachms of Gotamiputa Siri Yajna Satakani (200-250 AD), of the 'tufted head' type, 1.90g, 1.78g, 1.72g, 1.69g and 1.59g, (the first one pierced twice for use in jewellery). All show obverse and reverse legends in different extents. Obv: Bust of the king facing right, with lateral hair-tufts and a knot, crested jewel on the forehead, wearing heavy ear-plugs; Brahmi legend Rano Gotamiputasa Siri Yana Satakanisa around. Rev: Dynastic emblem composed of modified 'Ujjain symbol', six-arched hill with crescent, sun and wavy line in the centre; legend in Southern Brahmi Arahanaku Gotamiputaku Tiru Yana Hatakanaku around.
