Post-Gupta period in Bengal, 'Samatata' region, Gold Dinar copying Gupta 'Archer-type' coin design, (c. 655AD), 5.54g. Obv: King standing holding a bow in one hand and an arrow pointing down in the other; legend Chakra below the hand holding the bow. A Shanka/wheel standard behind the arm holding arrow and Brahmi letter 'Shri' to its right. Rev: Goddess seated cross-legged on a lotus holding a long-stemmed lotus bloom in one hand and making the gesture of reassurance with the other; a Shanka-like object to her left. Estimate
