Indian imitation of a Roman gold coin (Aureus), 5.9g, c. 2nd – 3rd century AD, pierced twice for use in jewellery. Obv. bust of a Roman emperor facing right, jumbled inscription around, Rev. a horseman in trot with jumbled inscription. The coin is an imitation of a rare type struck by Roman emperor Lucius Verus (161-169 AD). Estimate
