Copper
Humayun (1st reign 1530-1540 AD), anonymous copper coins (2), Champanir mint, AH 942, 13.82g and 4.75g respectively. Obv: Arabic legend Zarb Fateh Champanir. Rev: Arabic legend Fi Tarikh Sanah and AH date in numbers. (2 coins)
Very fine, Very rare.
Unlike most issues of Champanir, one of these coins is struck to the local standards of Gujarat Sultans and the other is a half Bahluli denomination by weight. Metrologically, these coins are very unusual and were most likely struck as bridging denomination immediately after the Mugal conquest of Champanir.
