Baroda?, Silver Rupee, Jambusar Mint (mint and date off flan), in the name of Shah Alam II, RY 22, KM C5.
Very Fine, Rare.
The published rupees of Jambusar have RY 22. Who controlled Jambusar at this point is uncertain and consequently, these coins might well have been issued either by Peshwa's representative, or by the Gaikwads of Baroda, or by the EIC. This coin has the symbol of javelin placed diagonally and an extra mark' of 'u' over 'lu' of Julus. This is different from their known coins of this mint.

Gwalior, Silver Rupee struck under the authority of Jean-Baptiste Filose, in the name of Muhammad Akbar II, 'cannon' and 'St Stephen's Cross' on obverse, RY7, with pseudo-mint name 'Sawai Jaipur', 10.87g.
Fine, Rare.
This variety of rupee did not feature in the article “Making the Most in Troubled Times: Jean-Baptiste Filose and his Coinage” by Shailendra Bhandare. It is very likely to have been struck at Unniara, a thikana of Jaipur, which came under Filose's attack during his
campaign against Rajput chiefs located towards the northern borders of his own jagir of Sheopur Kalan. The general style of the coin is comparable to the issues of Karauli which also used the mint-name 'Sawai Jaipur'.
