Obv: Boar standing right, with floral border and traces of Kannada legend above, enclosed in dotted border with pseud-Arabic inscriptions in the exergue. Rev: Dotted border enclosing a dynastic emblem of two larges leaves under a parasol.
Very Fine+, Very Rare.
Coins of this type have been attributed to Alupas treating the emblem on reverse as a 'pair of fish' symbol. The placement of pseudo-Arabic inscriptions is suggestive of trade contacts with the Islamic World which is an interesting feature.

Very Fine, Very Scarce.
The coin is tentatively attributed to the Kadambason basis of the prominence given to the Sankha symbol. Later coins of the Kadambas of Hangal also show this symbol prominently.

Cyclic year 'Manmatha' corresponds to 1235 AD. These coins were issued during Yadava occupation of Goa, in which Ramachandra (possibly the same as Ramachandra the Yadava king) appears to have been a nominal viceroy.
