Weight (4.40g., corresponding to the 'Vimsatika' standard) and symbolic configuration (ABBC) indicates a series from the middle Gangetic Valley. The symbols are entirely geometric and composed of intricate whorls.

About Very Fine, Rare.
Coins of Bhumimitra are known in a few other types such as the 'seated Yogi' type, which are die-struck and have motifs on both sides. This coin is uniface and manufactured by a more simple and indigenous technique.
