No fractional Gold coins are listed for Mahmud I by Goron & Goenka. They list a Heavy Gold Tanka weighing 12g. for this ruler in G&G G82, so this coin must have been struck to the same standard as evident from its weight. Stylistically, the calligraphy and design appear to be crude, but very similar silver coins obviously engraved by the same hand and bearing similar dates, are listed as G&G G110 and G111A.
