A group of 10 Gold Fanams from Karnataka, weighing 0.37g each, Nine coins of 'Shiva-Parvati' type with seated Shiva and Parvati on obverse and one with seated Narasmiha on obverse.Of the Shiva-Parvati type Fanams: -Two belong to the Keladi Nayakas of Ikkeri - one bears the legend Sri Sadashiva on reverse and attributed to Sadashiva Nayaka (1530-1566 AD); the other bears only Shri on reverse and is a later 16th-17th century issue. - Four belong to Hyder Ali of Mysore (1764-1782 AD) and bear Arabic letter He on the reverse.- Three remain anonymous and unattributed. - The 'Narasimha' type Fanam has Devanagari legend Shri Kanthirava on reverse and belongs to Kanthirawa Narasa Raja (1638-1659) of Mysore.
