Extremely Fine, Extremely Rare.
Dungarpur issued Gold Mohurs from 1940 onwards, perhaps as a very constricted ceremonial coinage. This is the earliest date known for them. Maharawal Lakshman Singh began his rule as a minor in 1918 and was invested with full ruling powers in 1928. He was the last recipient of knighthood granted within the 'Order of the Indian Empire', which was conferred upon him on 14th August 1947.
