Gupta Empire, gold dinar of Narasimha Gupta (518-530 AD), 'Archer' type, BMC pl. XXII, 10- 12, 9.65g. Obv: Nimbate king standing facing left, holding strung bow in one hand and an arrow in the other, Garuda standard in the backdrop; Brahmi legend Nara below arm holding bow and letter Shri between the feet. Rev: Goddess Lakshmi seated frontal cross-legged on a lotus holding long-stemmed lotus flower; Brahmi legend Baladitya to right and a tamgha to left.
