Ujjain, A group of three Uninscribed die-struck coins (c. 200-100 BC): (a) Kothari RB 235, 3.52g. Obv: Group of symbols -tree-in-railing, fishes in pond, wheel with arrowed spokes, small taurine, small 'Ujjain' symbol. Rev: 'Ujjain' symbol and a 'caduceus' to right. (b) Pieper 289, 3.02g. Obv: Standing man holding staff and water pot, tree-in-railing to right, fishes in pond above; triangle-headed standard, wheel with arrowed spokes etc to left. Rev: 'Ujjain'-symbol with Swastikas in orbs. (c) Pieper 286, 1.86g. Obv: Standing man holding staff and water pot, tree-in-railing to left. Rev: Composite and conjoined 'Ujjain' symbols.
