INDIANOLA, Iowa (KFYR) - On Sunday, Governor Doug Burgum appeared with former President Trump at a campaign rally in Iowa and officially endorsed him, hours before the critical Iowa Caucuses.
Burgum encouraged a crowd of supporters to vote for the former president during the caucuses on Monday. Burgum said on his Twitter account that America needs a 180-degree change in direction from where President Joe Biden has taken the country. He says Trump will make America great again. “Under President Trump, America was safe and prosperous and tomorrow when you caucus, you have an opportunity to send a message to the nation and to send a message to the world that Donald J. Trump will make America great again,” said Gov. Doug Burgum, R-North Dakota.
Burgum launched his own presidential campaign last June and qualified for the first two GOP primary debates; however, after just a few months on the trail, he decided to suspend his bid for the White House in December.
